About Me
Designing with empathy, structure, and storytelling.
I’m Zelong(Angelo) Jin, a designer based in Irvine, California, currently pursuing my Master’s in User Experience at Arizona State University.
My journey began in 3D animation and visual storytelling, where I learned to see design as a language — a way to connect people, emotion, and technology.
Today, I apply that same mindset to UI/UX and editorial design, creating experiences that make complex ideas feel clear, beautiful, and human.
Design Philosophy
For me, design is more than visual problem-solving.
It’s about understanding how people think, what they need, and how to create solutions that feel effortless.
I believe great design bridges creativity and logic — blending artistry with function to tell meaningful stories.
Whether I’m designing a magazine layout, a web interface, or a digital product, I focus on clarity, rhythm, and emotional connection.
Background
Before pursuing UX design, I worked as a Multimedia Designer at SOLTECH LLC and as an HR professional at HeyGears, a 3D-printing technology company.
At SOLTECH, I managed and updated corporate website content, optimized visual structure, and created promotional materials to enhance user engagement and brand consistency.
Working across marketing and development teams taught me how visual design, usability, and communication intersect to shape digital experiences.
At HeyGears, I collaborated with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and management to improve internal processes and digital communication.
These experiences helped me develop a user-centered mindset — combining structure, empathy, and clarity — which now guides my approach to UI/UX and product design.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me exploring typography, photography, or playing with new UI trends.
I’m inspired by the intersection of art and technology — how design can make digital spaces feel more human.
I’m constantly learning, experimenting, and growing as a designer.
My goal is simple: to design experiences that help people feel connected — to ideas, to products, and to each other.
